State & Territory Organisations
Constituent Bodies
The Royal United Services Institute of Australia was formally established in January 1974. It drew together, into one federated organisation, the various State and Territory Constituent Bodies that had been formed as separate independent entities over the period from 1888 (when the NSW body was formed) until 1971 (when the ACT body was established). The USI of the NT was formed in 2001 but has been unable to continue as a viable entity. The RUSI National Council is considering ways of revitalising it and also the possibility of establishing regional chapters.
